50th anniversary of the "Feierwôn" hot-air balloon’s first flight
In 1974, five friends and sports pilots founded the Commune Aérostatique du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg. A year later, on 1 February 1975, the "Feierwôn" hot air balloon made its inaugural flight from Rambrouch to Noerdingen. The current "Feierwôn" is already the fifth reproduction of the original hot air balloon and still retains the same design.

25 years of "Een Häerz fir kriibskrank Kanner"
Together in the fight against cancer – this is the guiding principle of the association Een Häerz fir kriibskrank Kanner asbl. In addition to supporting affected families, providing psychosocial, administrative, and financial assistance, as well as palliative care, the association raises public awareness about childhood cancer through information stands and fundraising events.

30 years of "Patiente Vertriedung"
In 1995, the Patiente Vertriedung asbl was founded by seven organisations to further advocate for patients' rights. It informs patients about their rights and duties, advises them, and helps them with problems or questions related to health, care, and social security. Today, Patiente Vertriedung includes nearly 20 associations.

50 years of "Œuvre Vie Naissante"
Founded in 1975, the Œuvre pour la Protection de la Vie Naissante asbl helps pregnant women in distress before and after the birth of their children through counselling, medical, psychological, material, financial, and legal support. Each year, between 350 and 400 young mothers seek the association's help.

400 years of the Octave
The Octave, a pilgrimage in honour of the Virgin Mary, is an important religious tradition in Luxembourg dating back to 1624. Since 2008, the Octave has been recognised as part of the country's intangible cultural heritage.

150 years of the municipality of Mertzig
Mertzig is located at the border between Éislek and Guttland. With nearly 2,450 inhabitants from 42 different nationalities, it is a young, dynamic, and modern municipality that places great importance on sustainability and inclusion.

25 years of the “Corps de Police Grand-Ducale”
Although there has been an institution responsible for security and public order in Luxembourg for over 200 years, the current Grand Ducal Police was only established in 2000 following the merger of the police and the former gendarmerie. Even though its missions have changed in the face of new challenges such as global digitisation, terrorist attacks, and cybercrime, the police remain true to their motto "Zesumme fir Iech" (Together for you) and continue to ensure the safety of citizens.

15 years of the "Policemusée"
Since 2006, the police directorate has been committed to documenting its history. In 2010, an association was created to manage the police history collection. The museum is currently located in Capellen.



These stamps will be available from 11 March 2025, in all Espaces POST and post offices, at the Philatelic Counter, and on the POST Philately e-shop.
