On the occasion of Luxair's maiden flight between Luxemburg and Iceland, POST Philately gave collectors the opportunity to obliterate letters with special Luxembourgish and Icelandic cancellation marks. A personalized meng.post stamp and a special postcard were also issued on the occasion.
