Yesterday evening, on December 21, Mario Treinen, Director POST Courrier, presented the first prize to the winner of the "180 Joer POST" competition in the presence of Franz Fayot, Minister of the Economy, Claude Strasser, Director General POST Luxembourg, Isabelle Faber, Director HR - Public Relations & CSR and Emile Espen, Head of POST Philately. The winner, René Clement, works as Chef de quai at the Sorting Centre and in his spare time he enjoys drawing.

Indeed, a dozen POST employees participated in the competition with the aim of creating "the" mengpost stamp for the 180th anniversary of POST Luxembourg.

A panel of six judges selected Rene Clément’s stamp from all entries. It was not an easy decision as all the submitted projects were of high quality. In the end, the design by René Clement was chosen who, like other competitors, submitted two designs. The presentation of the competition winner took place on October 18th in the absence of René Clément.

The stamp as well as the accompanying postcard and postmark are available in the e-shop and at the Guichet Philatélique at Cloche d'Or.
