Jules Apel, aged 5, won the first place in the competition 'Draw a stamp for Saint Nicholas/Kleeschen'.
As a reminder: During the summer months, POST4Kids invited children aged 4 to 8 to design their own stamp for the ‘Kleeschen’ (Saint Nicholas). More than 150 little artists took part in the drawing competition. Well done to all!
The 'Kleeschen 2024' stamp will be used by POST’s Secrétariat du Kleeschen to answer children's letters, and is also on sale.
Awards ceremony
A jury made up of philatelic experts and communications professionals carefully examined all the entries. Taking into account creativity, respect for the theme and artistic quality adapted to the child's age, the jury chose the following winners:
With so many wonderful drawings, it wasn't an easy decision for the members of the jury. That's why, in addition to the three top prizes, it was decided to award the ‘Coup du coeur du jury’ prize to Emil Apel, aged 8, who won 2 sheets of the winning stamp and the book ‘La tournée de Facteur Souris’.
The awards ceremony was held on 12 November 2024 at the Centre de tri in Bettembourg, bringing together the winners of the drawing competition and their families. As a surprise, the young artists and their accompanying adults had the opportunity to discover the Centre de tri during an exclusive guided tour led by René Clement.
