Over the last 50 years, the FMPO has often played the role of initiator or co-initiator in the implementation of new social and pedagogical concepts in Luxembourg. The FMPO can therefore proudly claim to have opened the first shelter for women in distress in 1976, the first shelter for young mothers in 1987, the first day centre for teenagers in 1995, the first day and night centre for young parents in 2013 and the first shelter for victims of trafficking in human beings in 2019.
