May 5th: philatelic mail exchange between the Harley-Davidson Clubs of Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.

It was in the rain that the Harley-Davidson Clubs of Luxembourg and Liechtenstein found themselves in Riquewihr, a picturesque little town halfway between Luxembourg and Vaduz. Riquewihr politicians were also present to welcome bikers and members of postal staff from both countries. The philatelic mail transported to Riquewihr by the two Clubs was then exchanged. Today, on May 5th, around 1:00 pm, the special mail "Harley-Davidson Clubs" was handed over to the Club of Luxembourg. This special mail to Liechtenstein will be delivered tomorrow at 15:00 in Riquewihr (Alsace) to the Harley-Davidson club of Liechtenstein. Similarly, mail destined for Luxembourg will also change hands. POST Philately had invited the recipients of a commemorative stamp to the official handing out of souvenir frames. Representatives of the three organizations, namely the Luxembourg Alzheimer Association, the Fifty-One International Club and the Fieldgen Private School, met at the new POST headquarters to attend the ceremony. Deputy Director-General Jos Glod had the pleasure of handing the souvenir frames out to the heads of delegation. On March 25, the 74th Congress of the Federation of Philatelic Societies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg was held in Differdange. The Congress brings together numerous delegates and observers. During the Congress is also partially elected the FSPL Committee. The Committee is currently composed of: Jos Wolff, Chairman, Andrée Trommer-Schiltz, Francy Krack, Claude Feck, Vice-Presidents and Guy Jungblut, Jos Kriesten, Jeannot Piron, Winfried Schwickert and André Weber, Members. On sale for the first time at the Springbreak, the artist had wanted to be there to sign the stamps of the happy buyers. On June 19, at the Schloss Fellenberg Museum in Merzig (D), the prize "Moinika von Boch" was awarded to Mr. François Besch. This award distinguishes photographers who by their work have shown themselves creative and innovative.
