On 18 June 2016, the theme of the Thurn and Taxis Postal Route will be presented as a transnational historic-cultural legacy through a joint event with Luxembourgian, German and Belgian post office and philately partners, communities and natural parks. At the specific locations in Arzfeld and Asselborn, special post offices with special stamp issuances, stands of the specific philately associations, food, entertainment and bus shuttle service between the two special post offices will be provided. www.500jahrepostroute.eu

From May 28 to June 4, the American philatelists will gather in New York at the World Stamp Show at the Javitz Center. POST Philately is, as many other philatelic departments, present with a booth in order to promote the Luxembourgish stamps production.

On Friday May 13, Luc Welter, Director of Marketing-Communication POST, has handed over in the presence of,Emile Espen, head of POST Philately, the stamps of the series "10 years meng.post.lu" showing a dog and two cats of the Gasperich animal refuge, to Mr Bildgen, president of the National League for the Protection of animals

The 58th edition of the EXPHIMO took place on Pentecost weekend at Mondorf-les-Bains. Numerous philatelists and other interested visitors came by and admired the exposed stamp collections. The Director General Claude Strasser received at that occasion from the hands of Chairman Roger Thill the golden Philcolux insignia.

The Director General Claude Strasser has officially handed over the “Rio 2016” stamp to Marc Hoffmann, Chairman of the national Olympic Committee (COSL). The presence of Charline Mathias, qualified for the games, and Charel Grethen, still striving for qualification, was highly appreciated.

The Jury in charge of designating the winners among the nearly 1700 drawings submitted in relation with the traditional philatelic drawing contest has made its choices. In the next days the lucky winners will be individually contacted. In the month of June a ceremony will be organized during which rewards will be handed out.
