On 8 March POST Luxembourg invited the beneficiaries of the 5 special stamps issued on 5 March for the official presentation in the new headquarters in Luxembourg-Gare. Director General Claude Strasser was delighted to see representatives from a wide range of organizations, from SOS Kannerduerf Lëtzebuerg to the NATO Supply and Procurement Agency. A new proof that philately really covers the whole of Luxembourg society.

The Ettelbrück Philatelic Circle has put on sale the first personalized ATM label produced by POST Philately. The label on which the text "32. Tauschbörse Ettelbrück" was added caught the attention of collectors and was quickly sold out. A new offer of POST Philately has been successfully launched.

On 6 December, many members of the Patrimoine Roses pour le Luxembourg and Rousefrënn Lëtzebuerg associations had followed the invitation of POST Luxembourg to attend the official presentation of the new Postocollants stamps whose theme is precisely the Luxembourgish roses. Mrs. Hjoerdis Stahl, POST Courrier Director, welcomed the guests. In her speech she thanked the organizations for getting so involved in the project. Postocollants are the most popular stamps in Luxembourg and the theme "Roses of Luxembourg" will have maximum visibility. Mrs Claudine Als, President of Patrimoine Roses pour le Luxembourg, thanked POST Luxembourg for having realized the project and she declared herself convinced that the stamps will help to revalue this precious heritage of Luxembourg. Mrs Nicole Steil, President of Rousefrënn Lëtzebuerg, also expressed her thanks to POST Luxembourg and hoped that the roses will soon flourish on thousands of letters. Mrs Marianne Majerus, the artist photographer who took all the pictures of the roses on the stamps, was also present among the guests.

On October 17th, POST Philately organized the annual "Soirée du timbre" in Mondorf-les-Bains. The fourth edition of the stamp evening was held in front of a hundred people in the Bierger an Kulturcenter in Mondorf-les-Bains. During this evening, POST Luxembourg's 2018 stamp issue program was presented. Before turning to the retrospective of the stamps issued in 2017, Claude Strasser,Director General of POST Luxembourg took the floor. In his speech, he explained that the purpose of the stamp evening is mainly to give better visibility to philately, to honor the artists and to involve those who will receive a stamp in 2018 in the genesis of it. The Director General also took the opportunity to thank all the actors who participated in the creation and distribution of the stamps. Jos Wolff, President of the Federation of Philatelic Societies of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (FSPL) gave a short speech during which he underlined the important role that stamps play in our society. Lex Delles, deputy mayor of Mondorf-les-Bains was delighted that his town is honored by stamps. After the stamp made for the start of the Tour de France on July 4, 2017, a stamp will be made in 2018 to celebrate the 150 years of birth of John Grün from Mondorf-les-Bains and nicknamed Hercules - in his time the man the stronger in the world. A souvenir frame with the most beautiful 2016 stamp was presented by Claude Strasser to Liliane Ferron, Deputy Secretary General of the Lëtzebuerger Déiereschutzliga. Indeed, during the contest "Choose the most beautiful stamp 2016" held at the Springbreak 2017 the stamp showing the cat named Maïschen was chosen. At that moment she was still staying at the animal shelter of Gasperich. She has meanwhile found a new family.

On the 5th of October, Grand Duke Henri was visiting France, the Dordogne in particular, alongside POST Director General Claude Strasser, POST Philately Chief Emile Espen and journalist Stéphane Bern to witness the printing of three stamps "to the glory of Luxembourg". It was at the printinghouse of Philaposte in Boulazac that this event took place: three stamps were printed live in front of his Royal Highness. These stamps each represent an honorific distinction: that of the civil and military merit of Adolph de Nassau, another of the Order of Merit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the last for the Order of the Oak Crown. 150,000 copies of each stamp will be on sale from 5 December 2017.
